IMPACT Athletes IAKC 16U best IAKC 15 in shootout, 12-9


Pitchers had a tough day during the game between IMPACT Athletes IAKC 16U and IAKC 15, as the two teams put up 21 runs combined in a 12-9 IMPACT Athletes IAKC 16U win. 



There were 14 hits, including three extra base hits in the game. 



Sam Hudson boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace IMPACT Athletes IAKC 16U. He singled in the third and fifth innings. 



Cooper Morrison was in control on the mound. Morrison held IAKC 15 hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one. 



The lead stayed with IMPACT Athletes IAKC 16U after the first, when it scored four runs on two singles. 



After pushing across two runs in the top of the fourth, IAKC 15 faced just a 5-2 deficit. An error and an error set off IAKC 15 rally. Parker Linscott ended the inning by getting #37 to strike out. 



One run in the top of the fifth helped IAKC 15 close its deficit to 5-3. An error sparked IAKC 15's rally. Finally, Patterson Fallis got #6 to to end the threat. 



It didn't take long for IMPACT Athletes IAKC 16U to answer as it scored seven runs of its own in the fifth. IMPACT Athletes IAKC 16U scored on an RBI single by Mike Logerwell, a walk by Dominick Scudiero, an error, a hit by pitch, a hit by pitch, an RBI single by Stephen Personelli, and a sacrifice fly by Linscott. 



A four-run sixth inning helped bring IAKC 15 within five. An RBI double by #14, a two-run single by #37, and an RBI single by #16 triggered IAKC 15's comeback. But, Grant Buccero got #4 to strike out to end the inning. 



Two runs in the top of the seventh helped IAKC 15 close its deficit to 12-9. A two-run double by #3 fueled IAKC 15's comeback. Mason Scrivener ended the game by getting #15 to ground out.
